Apple released yesterday the iPhone SDK 3.1 beta and iPhone OS 3.1 beta for the lucky developers for testing. The SDK is now available for download on the iPhone Dev Center page. So what's new in the upcoming iPhone OS 3.1?

The developers have reported some of the changes found in the upcoming iPhone OS 3.1 and it includes the following:
Trimming video clips on the iPhone 3GS now offers the ability to save the edited version as a copy rather than simply overwriting the original file.
Voice Control over Bluetooth is now available, allowing users to Initiate calls and control music playback via Bluetooth headsets.
MMS is now enabled by default, but still not supported by AT&T.
iPhone vibrates when rearranging Home screen icons.
A "Fraud Protection" toggle is now available in Safari settings.
iPhone startup and shutdown and app launching times have improved.
New APIs allow developers of third-party application to access and edit videos.
OpenGL and Quartz have seen improvements.

Det skriver sajten Teliaiphoneblog.se som också rapporterar att Telia kommer att gå ut med priser och villkor inom kort. Även operatörerna 3 och Telenor börjar sälja Iphone 3GS den sista juli, rapporterar idg.se. Telenor har tidigare presenterat den 9 juli som säljstart. Men nu skjuts premiären upp till och med den 31 juli även hos Telenor.Allt enligt DI Detta är verkligen bra men jag undrar vad priset blir?

Apple: ‘Steve Jobs is back to work’



Technology’s most closely watched chief executive is officially back on the job, according to an Apple (AAPL) spokesman.

“Steve Jobs is back to work,” chief spokesperson Steve Dowling told CNN.com. “He is at Apple a few days a week and working from home the other days. We’re glad to have him back.”

Jobs, who is recovering from two major surgeries — one to remove a tumor from his pancreas nearly five years ago, the second a transplant performed two months ago to treat end-stage liver disease — was scheduled to return from a six-month leave of absence before the end of June.
